TORTUGA ISLAND ON THE FAMOUS CATAMARAN, CALYPSO: (departs from the Holiday Inn about three blocks from the Hemingway Inn around 7:30 am) This is a fun tour to scenic Tortuga Island on the deluxe catamaran, the Calypso. Included is a guided air-conditioned bus from the Hemingway Inn to the Pacific fishing port of Puntarenas where you board the Calypso.

Huge open decks, Jacuzzis, fruits and drinks, somtimes accompanied by dolphins swimming along side, strings of swooping pelicans and frigate birds-you'll cruise through historic pirate islands, have hours to swim and snorkel in the warm, clear turquoise water, or bask on the white sand beach of Tortuga Island.

A delicious buffet lunch is set out for you back in the jungle. You may want to bring your sun tan lotion, goggles and a frisbee! You return to the Hemingway Inn in the early evening completely relaxed, warmed by the sun and slightly exhausted. The cost is $99 per person, and well worth it.
